ABOUT THE DISTRICT

The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) has earned an Excellent with Distinction rating on the 2010-2011 State of Ohio Report Card. The District is one of the largest school districts in the state, in terms of enrollment, to earn this rating on the report card. For the past eight years, the District has earned excellent and effective designations from the state of Ohio.

The Excellent with Distinction rating is the highest achievement a school district can receive.

Pickerington Local Schools earned a performance index score of 102.8 and met 26 out of 26 indicators. The Performance Index is a measure that awards the achievement of every student tested, not just those who score at proficient or higher levels. Schools and districts earn points based on how well each student does on all tested subjects in third through eighth grades and the tenth grade Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).

Pickerington Local Schools has grown from a shared one-room school in a log cabin to 14 modern facilities educating over 10,600 students making it the 18th largest school district in Ohio.
